HEATING OF PLATE GLASS FOR LAMINATED GLASS

PURPOSE:To equalize the temp. two sheets of plate glass taken out from a furnace and to enhance the pairing properties by shortening the carrier distance at high velocity of one side of two sheets of plate glass in the heating furnace when one side thereof is easily heated in comparing with the other side. CONSTITUTION:When one side of plate glass G1 selected from two sheets thereof becoming laminated glass is easily heated in comparison with the other plate glass G2, firstly the plate glass G1 is carried into a heating furnace 1 by introducing conveyor roll 5. It is carried only at distance L1 from the inlet of the heating furnace 1 at high velocity. Then the other plate glass G2 is carried into the heating furnace 1 and carried only at distance L2 at high velocity. The plate glass G1 is successively carried only at distance L3 at constant velocity. The plate glass G2 is similarly carried only at distance L4 at constant velocity and taken out from the furnace. Further one side plate glass is preliminarily heated or the heat radiation amount emitted from a heater in the furnace is reduced for one side of two sheets of plate glass.
