PURPOSE:To enable sure reading by acting an arm to a card inserted by attraction of a solenoid, moving the card to a reading position and bringing the card in close contact to the reading device side. CONSTITUTION:When the tip of the card 1 presses and shifts an end of a card detecting member 9, a limit switch 12 conducts and a magnet 14 is pulled in the solenoid 13, and a link mechanism 15 pulls the card 1 to a specified position. Further, the link mechanism 16 presses a movable wall member 3 in the direction of a fixed wall member 2, and seals airtightly between the card and the movable wall member 3 and the fixed wall member 2, and ensures reading of the card. When reading is completed, current of the solenoid is cut off and the card 1 is pushed out by elastic force of a spring 10. At the same time, it is thrusted against sealing members 8, 8' to prevent intrusion of inflammable gas from a card passage port and maintain the card reader airtight. |
