PURPOSE:To simplify a construction by selectively applying charged ink mist on recording paper by an electric field formed by an electrode disposed on the back of the recording paper. CONSTITUTION:Ink mist 3 generated by stirring an ink solution 4 in an ink tank 7 of an ink mist generation part 100 by an ultrasonic vibrator 6 is carried to a charging part 200 by a suction fan 8. Ion generated in the vicinity of a corona wire 5 of the charging part 200 is attracted by a counter electrode 15 to be led out to an ink mist path 13 through a slit 14. The led-out ion electrifies the ink mist 3. The ink mist 3 is further carried to a recording part 300. By closing a switch 2 of the recording part 300, an electric potential gradient is formed between a control electrode 1 and a ground electrode 21, and the ink mist 3 moves in the direction of an electric line of force. By making the electric potential of the control electrode 1 negative, the ink mist 3 is applied on recording paper 11. The ink mist that has not adhered on the recording paper is recovered to the ink solution through an ink recovery device 10. |
