A laminated reinforced gasket (10) for sealing between a cell separator (30) adjacent to generally flat cell frame members (21), (22) of an electrolytic cell of the filterpress design, the gasket comprising a solid body in picture frame configuration with a plurality of pointed pegs or pins (14) projecting from, and in a direction normal to, said body. The projections mate with holes (25) in the cell frame members (21) or with holes in liners used in keeping the cell fluids away from the cell frame members.
