Method for producing a superconducting oxidic layer containing at least one bismuth-cuprate compound on a substrate, a homogeneous solution of organo metallic compounds in the form of carboxylic acid compounds of calcium, strontium, bismuth and copper in an organic solvent being deposited on the substrate, after which the organo metallic compounds are thermally decomposed and the layer is then heated to a temperature in the range from 700 to 950 DEG C, bismuth being substituted by lead in an amount in the range from 10 to 40 atomic %.
