<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the temperature variance of discharged hot water down to a fraction of temperature change of feed water even if the change is in the range of 5 to 60 deg.C and also to reduce the operating noise by locally forming a treble pipe with an outer pipe, an inlet pipe and a cover pipe Which covers the upper part of the inlet pipe and is closed at its upper end. CONSTITUTION:As the power is supplied to an electric heater 64, the water which is in contact with the heater 64 in the space between the outer pipe 67 and the inlet pipe 76 is rapidly heated. When part of the water reaches its boiling point, steam bubbles are generated to cause the volume of water to rapidly increase, raising the pressure in the outer pipe 67. As a result, the check valve 66 is opened to force the hot water to flow from the outer pipe 67 to the inlet pipe 73. When steam bubbles rise on account of buoyancy to reach the lower end of the cover pipe 79, the steam bubbles are cooled and condensed by relatively cold water nearby. The pressure in the outer pipe 67 then drops to cause the check valve 66, while the check valve 65 is opened to allow cold water existing in the lower part of the hot water reservoir tank 51 to flow through the inlet pipe 76 into the outer pipe 67.</p> |
