PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition excellent in hydrophilicity of a cured product and desirable especially as a dental impression material by mixing an organopolysiloxane with an organohydrogenpolysiloxane, a platinum group metal catalyst and a specified silicone compound. CONSTITUTION:The title composition is obtained by mixing an organopolysiloxane (A) having at least two Si-bonded aliphatic unsaturated hydrocarbon groups in the molecule with an organohydrogenpolysiloxane (B) having at least three Si-bonded hydrogen atoms in the molecule, a platinum group metal catalyst (C) and a silicone compound (D) having a hydrophobic silicone part and at least one hydrophilic polyol part in the molecule {e.g. a silicone compound of formula I [wherein R<1> is H or a monovalent hydrocarbon group; R<2> is a polyol residue of formula II (wherein R<3> is a bivalent hydrocarbon group; R<4> is a monovalent hydrocarbon residue; c is 2 or 3; d is 0 or 1, and c+d=3); 0.05<a<2.5; 0.1<b<0.35]}. This composition can give a cured product good in curing properties, physical properties and excellent in hydrophilicity and it is desirable especially as a dental impression material. |
