LEAD FRAME FOR FUSED CAPACITOR

Lead frame assemblies for making fused capacitors, such as solid electrolyte capacitors, have cross ties (112) that extend between the anode side (102) and cathode side (106) of the lead frame between every space intended to be occupied by a capacitor (116) and have a fuse tie (114) extending between the cross ties (112). The anode from the solid electrolytic capacitor body (116) is attached to the fuse tie (114) and a fuse conductor (118) is positioned in an electrically conductive manner between the fuse tie (114) and an anode lead (104). The assemblies may also be used to make non-polar dielectric capacitors.
