<p>The edging strip is of U-shaped cross section and consists of an outer layer 1 and a U-shaped stiffening core 2, both of thermoplastics. The outer layer is formed into a pair of inwardly directed gripping fingers 4, 5 which are directed away from the open mouth 6 of the strip. The strip is formed by feeding the two materials through a common extrusion die so that they become integrally bonded to each other. Both materials contribute to the resilience of the strip, and the strip is highly resistant to moisture, oils, greases and diesel. <IMAGE></p> |
