<p>This torsional damping device incorporates a support flange (11) equipped with fixing screws (12), a hub shell (18), and, intervening between this support flange (11) and this hub shell (18), and being arranged in a leakproof casing (20) whose component parts are integrated together by assembly means (28), peripheral springs (21). According to the invention, and conjointly, the inner periphery of the leakproof casing (20) extends along a circumference of diameter (D2) which is greater than that (D1) of the circumference following which the means of fixing (12) of the support flange (11) extend, with, emerging radially in a leakproof manner, with axial adjustment and circumferential sliding, from this leakproof casing (20), the hub shell (18), the means of assembly (28) of the leakproof casing (20) are distinct from these means of fixing (12) and one of the component parts of the leakproof casing (20) carries means of adjustment in rotation (50,32) of the said torsional damper (18,22,21,24) equipped with an adaptation (24,30) for interaction with the said means of adjustment in rotation.
