PURPOSE:To extremely reduce a dimensional change of a sectional mold for molding a tire during molding by casting the sectional mold in an Al alloy for casting and heat-treating the mold under specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:A sectional mold for molding a tire is cast in an Al alloy for casting having a prescribed compsn. and is heat-treated in the temp. range of 230-420 deg.C for 4-50hr. The heat treated mold causes no dimensional change at about 170 deg.C molding temp. of a tire, the occurrence of spew during molding is prevented and the cost of production is considerably reduced. |
