PURPOSE:To multiplex information in an optical signal by removing an optical signal having information which is already sent and also outputting an optical signal which has information to be sent newly to an external optical transmission line. CONSTITUTION:A demultiplexing part 12 demultiplexes a wavelength-multiplexed optical signal which is inputted from the external optical transmission line and separates and outputs the wavelength-multiplexed optical signal from the external optical transmission line according to wavelength, and an amplification part 14 amplifies the optical signal which is outputted to the external optical transmission line to compensate optical loss which is generated by optical transmission inside or outside an optical node. Further, an exchange part 16 erases an optical signal with specific wavelength from the optical signal inputted from the external transmission line to remove the optical signal having the information which is already sent between mutually coupled devices. Further, the exchange part 6 inserts the optical signal with specific wavelength into the optical signal to be sent to the external transmission line. Consequently, the optical signal having the information to be sent newly can be multiplexed in the optical signal to be outputted to the external optical transmission line. |
