PURPOSE:To form the multilayered films which have excellent durability, such as solvent resistance and environmental resistance, an adhesive property and film strength on an optical substrate made of a synthetic resin or glass substrate by interposing a YF3 layer and a metallic Cr layer between the substrate and the multilayered films. CONSTITUTION:The multilayered films include the two adjacent layers consisting of at least one layer of the YF3 layer and the Cr layer and are formed on the glass substrate or the synthetic resin substrate. The metallic Cr layer is preferably formed directly on the substrate and the YF3 layer is formed on the metallic Cr layer particularly in the case of using the synthetic resin substrate as the substrate. Further, the multilayered films (for example, an antireflection film, half mirror, etc.) having desired characteristics are formed on the YF3 layer. There is no deterioration with age in the characteristics, etc., even if the multilayered films are formed particularly on the optical parts made of plastic.
