PURPOSE:To give effect which is rich in spatial spread and variation to a player by providing a sound image localization data generating means which generates sound image localization data and a sound image localization control means which localizes and controls a generated sound image according to the sound image localization data. CONSTITUTION:This sound image localization device is equipped with the sound image localization data generating means 1 which generates new sound image localization data according to a generation indication and the sound image localization control means 2 which localizes and controls the pitch of a musical sound generated corresponding to the generation indication based on the sound image localization data. Namely, key information is supplied from a keyboard part 20 where the pitch of the musical sound to be generated is specified to a microcomputer 21 through a bus 22 under the control of the microcomputer 21. Then a program is executed according to the key information to control a musical sound generating circuit 23 and also a localization control circuit 24, thereby giving a musical sound signal which is localized at a desired position. Consequently, the player is given the effect which is rich in spatial spread and variation. |
