<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a cell switch with flexible scale and advantage of buffer moving speed by providing a common buffer type cell switch on the output section of a space split type cell switch so as to arrange the buffer provided corresponding to each output communication path in response to plural output communication paths. CONSTITUTION:Unit switches 29 in space split type cell switches 3-9 receive a holding cell, analyze the path information of cells independently, decide the direction into which the call is outputted and output the cell into that direction. A common buffer type cell switch MUX 31 receives a holding cell and outputs it to a buffer 33. When the cell is stored in the buffer 33, the path information of the stored cell is analyzed and the cell is outputted to a desired output communication path.</p> |
