PURPOSE:To obtain a piezoelectric porcelain composition by which an electrical and mechanical coupling factor and a mechanical quality factor are both large and whose deformation at a baking operation is small by a method wherein Pb(MnalphaSb1-alpha)O3 and Pb(Me1/3Sb2/3)O3 (Me = Ni, Sn or Zn) as a third component and a fourth component, respectively, are contained in the form of solid solution in lead titanate zirconate in prescribed ratios. CONSTITUTION:This composition is composed of a four-component-system solid solution having a composition represented by a formula of Pbx{ZrATiB (MnalphaSb1-alpha)C(Me1/3Sb2/3)D}O3 (where Me represents Ni, Sn or Zr; A+B+C+D=1; 0.8/3<=alpha<=1.2/3; 0.85<=X<=1.15; 0.20<=A<=0.97; 0.01<=B<=0.60; 0.01<=C<=0.20; and 0.01<=D<=0.20). When these components are mixed in said ratios, a piezoelectric characteristic, especially an electrical and mechanical coupling factor and a mechanical quality factor are enhanced simultaneously by their interaction; it is possible to remarkably suppress a deformation at a baking operation. |
