PURPOSE:To perform laser beam cutting without adding special cutting conditions by once stopping irradiation of a laser beam at an acute angle part of a cutting locus and cooling the tip by cooling gas to perform cutting. CONSTITUTION:At the time of performing acute cutting, a numerical controller CNC1 can discriminate a return point 4 before the cutting locus attains the return point 4. When attaining the return point 4, the CNC1 stops the movement of a servomotor and simultaneously, stops oscillation of a laser beam oscillator 2. In addition, simultaneously, a solenoid valve 12 is closed and the use of oxygen which has been, so far, allowed to flow out by an oxygen cylinder 13 as assisting gas 10 is stopped and a solenoid valve 11 is opened and air supplied by a compressor 14 is supplied as the assisting gas 10 for cooling. When the cooling time is finished, the CNC1 closes the solenoid valve 11 and opens the solenoid valve 12 and outputs oxygen as the assisting gas and outputs the laser beam 5 to restart cutting. |
