PURPOSE:To prevent degradation of characteristic by providing four laminated piezoelectric elements and forcibly vibrating the entity of a resilient body. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic linear motor 1 comprises a member 2 for fixing piezoelectric elements, four laminated piezoelectric elements 3-6 secured onto the upper face thereof, a resilient body 7 secured onto the upper face thereof, and a moving body 8 pressure contacting with the upper face thereof. Voltages having shifted phases are applied onto the piezoelectric elements 3-6 in order to produce traveling wave for moving the moving body 8 linearly. Since the entity of the resilient body is vibrated forcibly, the traveling wave is not damped. |
