CONSTITUTION:A internal gas in a storage shed 1 for vegetables, fruits, etc., is passed through an adsorption column 3 filled with an ethylene adsorbent 4, having silver applied to a cellular carrier and regenerable by heating to adsorb and remove ethylene. Thereby, the CO2 concentration is preferably kept at 1 to 20% and O2 concentration is preferably kept at <=20% to retain the freshness of the vegetables, fruits, etc.</p> |
