The control system of the vehicle is distributed throughout several component units contained in the suspension system. Each actuator is part of a single vehicle suspension device which comprises signal processing means (30) in which signals corresponding to a plurality of variable parameters of the vehicle's behaviour are processed, the processing means producing a signal to control the extension and contraction of the actuator.
