A sectional door possesses door sections (10, 11) which are continuous over the width of the door aperture and each extend over only a fraction of the height of the door aperture and which are connected to the adjacent door sections via hinges (12) and are guided by means of running rollers (13) or sliding pieces in guide rails (4 - 8) which have longitudinal legs (4), extending next to the side edges of the door aperture, and legs (6, 9) which adjoin said longitudinal legs by means of arcuate transition pieces (5, 8) and which extend above the upper edge of the door aperture into the room interior. In order by simple means to make it possible, without a loss of safety, to ventilate the room closed off by the door, there are provided for the upper running rollers (13) of the uppermost door section (10), above the arcuate transition pieces of the guide rails (4-6), separate guide-rail portions (7) which guide the uppermost door section into and out of the closed position and of which the end pieces (8) located at the side of the door aperture form switches (8, 15) which, with the door remaining closed, can be swung down into a position guiding the uppermost door section (11) on its guide rollers into a ventilation position. <IMAGE> |
