The ultrasonic machine has a tool (4) comprising a converter (5) and a sonotrode (9) with tool ring (10). The tool is rotated on its lengthwise axis (2). The tool has an axial bore (35) right through and into which a tube (41) protrudes. The latter is sealed to the bore by an elastomer ring (43) approximately at the nodal plane (44) of the tool. At its free end it is connected to a system (47) drawing out grinding emulsion or delivering flushing liquid. ADVANTAGE - Good supply of liquid working medium and continuous tool rotation.
