PURPOSE:To obtain a lightweight vehicular vibration damping sheet, having high vibration damping effects and a wide range of use temperature and suitable as automotive floors, etc., by molding a filling material composed of mica, iron oxide powder, etc., using a binding material composed of ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer, etc. CONSTITUTION:A vehicular vibration damping sheet obtained by blending 100 pts.wt. binding material containing ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer and/or vinyl acetate with 5 to 200 pts.wt. each of mica, iron oxide powder and an auxiliary filler (e.g. calcium carbonate or clay) so as to provide >=30 pts.wt. total amount thereof. The amount of the iron oxide powder in the blend is simultaneously regulated to 2 to 40wt.%, preferably 5 to 30wt.% based on the blend. Fe3O4 or gamma-Fe2O3 is preferred as the iron oxide powder and the particle diameter thereof is preferably within the range of 0.05 to 100mum, especially 0.1 to 1mum. |
