<p>A bicycle mudguard has parallel exterior and interior and sides running round at constant spacing from the wheel, the mudguard being fitted out with signal surfaces. The mudguard (10) should be made from plastics which contains a fluoresecnt dye and is so translucent or transparent as to conduct incident light for reflective radiation off the signal surfaces (11-13).</p>
