Compensating transformer noise voltage of magnetic-inductive flowmeter - using null speed electrode signal and reference voltage to determine noise factor

Before the flow speed is measured a factor, computed from the electrode signal at null flow speed and from a reference voltage proportional to the transformer noise voltage using the least squares method, is stored. The transformer noise voltage is computed from the actual reference voltage and the stored factor and subtracted from the electrode voltagte to determine the useful signal. USE/ADVANTAGE - Compensating transformer noise voltage of magnetic-inductive flowmeter with a microcomputer and stimulation coils supplied with voltage or current pulses, enabling use of entire speed depedent electrode signal component.
