Before welding by electric arc, electron beam, or other methods, the welded hollow part is filled with a granular loose material with the melting temperature at least equal to the melting temperature of the welded part of the material. The granular material can be e.g. metal powder of the composition similar to the welded part, or the mineral material, e.g. sand.
