PURPOSE:To improve the fingerprint collation rate by forming such ruggedness on a prescribed area of a fingerprint impression face that it can be detected that a required fingerprint area of a body to be examined is brought into contact with the fingerprint impression face. CONSTITUTION:Generally, a finger tip is very sensitive; and therefore, when the conventional method where a finger, namely, the fingerprint is positioned by an external force is not adopted but it is positioned by the sense of the finger tip without giving an unnatural external force to the finger, not only the finger can be accurately positioned but also partial distortion of skin or the occurrence of ununiform depression is suppressed. Then, such fixed guide 12 is formed on a prescribed area of a fingerprint impression face 11 that the finger tip can be positioned by the sense. That is, ruggedness is given to the periphery of a finger contact area on the fingerprint impression face wider than the required fingerprint area of the finger. Thus, the deviation of finger tip set position between registration and collation is eliminated to improve the fingerprint collation rate. |
