PURPOSE: To reduce the response time of a digital image conversion system by connecting at least two general purpose processors in parallel to the system to process image data. CONSTITUTION: This system is provided with a decoder/front end processor 120 connected to a memory 106 storing a series of instructions and digital images for accessing an instruction and digital image, and a plurality of parallel processors 150 connected in parallel to each other for converting digital image data in response to an instruction sent from the processor 120. Further, when the processor 120 controls the transfer of digital image data to the processors 150, the processors 150 individually convert each section of the digital image, and the converted digital image data is converted by a video pixel memory 112 and a vector generator 110 into a form for being displayed on a display monitor 114. Thereby, the speed and response time for executing the filtering function and the interpolating function can be improved. |
