<p>PURPOSE:To form supercharge distribution chamber of a large capacity inertia in a inertia supercharge system by branching the downstream side of an intake passage into a pair of branch resonance passages, and by communication a pair of resonance chambers to each other through communication ports in the branch resonance passages. CONSTITUTION:An intake passage Pi is opened to the atmospheric air through throttle valves 20l, 20r at the upstream side, at branched into a pair of branch resonance passages 22l, 22r at the downstream side. A pair resonance chambers Cr-l, Cr-r are, respectively, communication with the branch resonance passages 22l, 22r through communication ports 33l, 33r. The resonance chambers Cr-l, Cr-r are, respectively, connected to cylinders 3l..., 3r... of cylinders groups Cl, Cr by an intake manifold Mi. Consequently, at the time of establishment of inertia supercharge system by the valve opening control of an opening and closing valve 23, a pair of the resonance chambers Cr-l, Cr-r are communicated with the downstream side of the intake port Mi, and it is used for one part of the capacity of inertia supercharging distribution chamber. Consequently, the inertia supercharging distribution chamber which has larger capacity than the gross capacity of respective resonance chambers Cr-l, Cr-r is secured.</p> |
