PURPOSE:To certainly hold conductive fibers and to enhance productivity by coating a base sheet composed of a non-conductive material with an adhesive mixed with a fiber/plastic composition containing conductive fibers having a specific diameter. CONSTITUTION:A bundle of conductive fibers having a diameter of 0.025mm or less is impregnated with a resin solid at room temp. and swellable or soluble in the solvent in an adhesive to obtain a fiber/plastic composite 21 which is, in turn, cut into columnar members 8 having a length of 0.1-30mm and these columnar members 8 are mixed with the solvent-containing adhesive to uniformly disperse fibers. The fiber/plastic composite 21 may be provided with a resin material 28 coating the circumference thereof. An adhesive 4 is applied to the inner surface of a card surface base material 2 and a card rear-base material 3 is supplied in opposed relation to the adhesive 4 and the card surface base material 2 is bonded to the card rear base material 3 to obtain a laminate being a base material for a card.
