<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a stable tape feed speed control system by providing a speed error correction arithmetic unit to perform the linear approximation of difference information between the sum of squares of the information relating to the rotational cycles of two reels and a reference value corresponding to tape feed speed to be controlled. CONSTITUTION:A speed error correction computing element 16 is provided between a subtractor 12 and a D/A converter 13. And it is judged whether speed error information is provided with a positive or negative value, and a square root arithmetic operation is applied on the absolute value of the speed error information when it shows the negative value, and the speed error information is squared when it shows the positive value. When tape speed is behind control targeted speed, the absolute value of the speed error information is compressed, and adversely, when it exceeds the control targeted speed, the absolute value is increased, then, it is nearly corrected to an approximate straight line. Then, the output information of the computing element 16 is inputted to the D/A converter 13, which goes to analog information E, and is supplied to a T-reel driving circuit via a filter 14, which controls the rotating speed of a T-reel 1, thereby, the feed speed of the tape can be kept constant. In such a way, a stable control system can be constituted even in a transient period where the feed speed of the tape is accelerated or decelerated.</p> |
