<p>PURPOSE:To prevent clogging of a nozzle at a low cost by feeding air from the nozzle for inert gas blowing arranged at furnace bottom from completing steel tapping till starting power-on of the next heat after steel-tapping in the electric furnace. CONSTITUTION:From the nozzle 24 for gas blowing arranged at the furnace bottom in the electric furnace 23, inert gas of N2, Ar, etc., from gas supplying source 20 is fed into the molten steel 25 in the furnace through an inert gas feeding/stopping means 22 providing a control unit 21. By this method, the molten steel 25 is stirred to obtain the effects of uniformity of molten steel compositions, acceleration of temp. raising improvement of the yield, acceleration of melting of unmelt scrap, etc. In the above bottom-blowing gas blowing method into the electric furnace 23, the air is fed from the above nozzle 24, preferably through an air feeding/stopping means till starting power-on of the next heat after steel tapping. By this method, the clogging of the nozzle 24 is economically prevented without using expensive N2, Ar gas, etc.</p> |
