The sailboard has a sailing rig with a wishbone boom of adjustable length. The withbone has two arms (3) with external screw threads extending over almost the entire length of each arm. Each arm receives a short sleeve (4) which has an internal and an external screw thread. Each arm is extended into one side (1) of the main boom and is secured by a coupling nut (2), which engages a flange in the ends of the main boom and also engages the external screw thread on the corresponding sleeve (4).
