The anti-skid brake system has a tandem master cylinder (2) in line with a brake servo (3) and operated by a brake pedal (5). Control valves link the master brake cylinder to the wheel brakes and two separate valve (43, 44) connect the two brake circuits to the servo pumped supply (21, 26) or to the fluid reservoir (20) for venting. The system uses a minimum of six solenoid valves for the dual circuit. Non return valves (38, 39) link the servo pumps to the brake circuits. Wheelspeed sensors on the wheels operate the anti-skid control via a processor (28). ADVANTAGE - Simple valve layout, minimum of solenoid valves.
