A vehicle coupling has a mouth (6) that accepts the coupling hook (29) of the towed vehicle. A portion of a swinging bolt (16,17) passes fully through the coupling hook. Pref. the swinging bolt is curved and held in the locked position by a spring and opened against the spring by an activating cylinder (20). ADVANTAGE - More secure coupling.
