A plug-in coupling for hoses comprises a socket into which a hose stem can be sealingly inserted, and a deformable, U-shaped locking element which slides onto the socket perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the socket. The locking element comprises two arms which engage behind a projection on the hose stem, preventing the stem from being pulled out of the socket. The two arms of the locking element rest against wedge surfaces which spread the arms elastically apart until the hose stem is released. The locking element, which consists of a U-shaped housing with an upper wall and two side walls, surrounds the socket essentially along its whole length. The arms are projections of the side walls, and the upper wall of the housing is designed as a pressure surface. |
