PURPOSE:To simplify a control program by displaying the entire constitution of digital controllers on a display device, and at the same time, selecting one desired digital controller on the screen displayed on the display device. CONSTITUTION:A controller selection picture 5, in which such a system constitution as a programming device 2, names of digital controllers 1, connected states between the programming device 2 and digital controllers 1, connected states of other systems, etc., is indicated, is displayed on a display device 3. When a desired digital controller 1 is indicated by means of a pointing device of a mouse, etc., one desired digital controller 1 for operation is decided. Therefore, the necessity of specially preparing a diagram, etc., for indicating the system constitution is eliminated and a control program can be simplified.
