The advantage of this cat litter-box over prior art types is that it cleans itself automatically each time it is used and replenishes itself with fresh litter. Thus unpleasant odours are very largely prevented since the cat litter used is removed immediately by a pusher (5) into a separate, airtight waste container (12) fitted with a changeable bag. This satisfies both the hygienic requirements of modern pet keeping and the feline desire for cleanliness. The system operates in that there is a pusher (5) in the cat litter-box which clears the used litter into an automatically opening and closing waste container (12) and fresh litter is distributed over the floor (3) via an automatic filler (10). The entrance is closed off by a sliding door (8) to prevent entry to the litter box during the cleaning process. |
