A relief on the surface of an article is obtained, according to the proposed method, by local melting of the surface layer of a translationally moving and rotating article (4), with a concentrated energy beam, for example an electron beam (7). The rotation frequency (n) of the article is chosen, depending on the configuration of the relief, within the range of formula (I) where n represents rotation frequency of the article; sigma o represents surface tension of melted material of the article at the maximum melting temperature; Kmax represents maximum number of ribs forming the relief on the surface of an article of a given radius; rho represents density of the melted material of the article; sigma t represents a surface tension of the melted material of the article at the fusing temperature; R represents radius of the article; r represents half-width of the melting zone; rmin represents minimum radius of curvature of the rib forming the relief. |
