摘要 PURPOSE:To execute the display having a gradation at every picture element by forming one frame by plural pieces with respect to one screen of a monochromatic digital video signal for a light emission diode matrix display screen, and executing a frame feed. CONSTITUTION:Gradation video signals 7a-7c are inputted by a video synchronizing signal 7', and displayed as a gradation rough screen A 10 - a gradation rough screen C 12 by screen synchronizing signals 9a - 9c, respectively. By synthesizing these rough screens, a gradation main screen is constituted, and it is considered to be one frame of an image. In the case a line display time 8a exclusing each blanking time is the same, when one gradation main screen 13 is constituted of three pieces of gradation rough screens, each display time of picture elements of 14 - 16 in the main screen display time becomes 3X8a, 2X8a, and 1X8a. As far as it is concerned, in the case a switching period of the gradation main screen is an extent that flickering is not felt, a ratio of brightness of its picture elements is felt as 3:2:1. A picture element 17 is a background of non-display. In such a way, the display having a gradation can be executed at every picture element.
