摘要 Two quadrupole coil systems (6,7) are arranged at 45 deg. to each other, in the immediate vicinity of the electron gun of a TV camera. Individual orthogonal coils of each system are connected in series so that the magnetic fields of diametrically opposed coils cancel out. Current is supplied by controllable sources (8,9) with summation and estimation stages (16,17) so that an increase of current in one system of coils (6 or 7) is matched by a corresp. decrease in the other. ADVANTAGE - Scanning flaws can be corrected easily to minimise wavy edges, without ambiguities or reciprocal dependences.
