Adjusting resistance value in dependence on voltage - short circuiting one of two resistors in series in time steps until attaining voltage allocated value

One of two series connected resistors is short circuited within sequential time periods with matching the voltage extent until the sum of the one resistor value and the product of the other resistor value with the quotient of the short circuit period yields the value, associated with the voltage magnitude. The time periods are pref. periodical, of the same magnitude, but shorter than the response time of a measuring appts., coupled behind one resistor. The two series connected resistors (6, 7) are coupled to a voltage source, with a switch parallel to one resistor (6). Its state is controllable by a voltage-to-frequency converter.
