The solar cells feed the light across a discharge protection or a charge regulating circuit with one or more accumulators, also across a twilight circuit. - The light, e.g. bulb, is switched on with the fall of darkness and the bulb or tube is illuminated for several hours, dependent on the duration of the sunshine during the day. Conventional grave light fittings can be equipped for solar operation. The use of long life bulbs or fluorescent lamps e.g. 12 V energy saving lamps is emphasized.
