The engine cylinder head has two inlet valves per cylinder, the ports leading to them being on the same side of the latter. The two ports (13,15) are close together where they connect to the inlet manifold (18) and one of them (13) contains a lengthwise partition (14) forming two sections, which re-join at the respective inlet valve (4). The flow through the second port (15) and the section of the first closes to it is regulated by a common shutter (19). ADVANTAGE - Gives constant turbulence-generation and charging.
