IC engine air intake manifold - has branched air intake chamber and oil separator in crankcase ventilation system

An I.C. engine air intake manifold (3) has several inlet pipes (4) branched from an air intake chamber (5). An oil separator (8) of the crankcase ventilation system is in heat conducting contact with the air intake chamber. ADVANTAGE - The difference between crankcase fume temp. and air intake temp. results in improved oil condensation and hence separation from the fumes.
