<p>PURPOSE:To fix simply, reliably and airtightly a vent pipe to an end of a lining material, by a method wherein a seal ring is widened in a diametral direction by reducing a space between flanges with a pressing device of a seal metal fittings and a flexible cylindrical body is pressed between the seal ring and a support ring. CONSTITUTION:Seal metal fittings 18 are inserted through an end of a lining material 2 and a support ring 37 is fitted over the outer circumference of the lining material 2 so that a rib 38 of the same becomes an end side of the lining material 2, to begin with, to fix a vent pipe 20 to the end of the lining material 2. When a nut 36 is kept screwing in by turning the same under this state, an intermediate member 23 and sliding member 27 are pushed inward and spaces between flanges 21, 25 and 26, 29 are reduced. With this construction, seal rings 34, 35 are bent strongly, spread out by an action of tapers 30-33, the diameter is enlarged and pressure-contacted with the inside of the lining material 2. The diameters of the seal rings 34, 35 are enlarged further by further strong screwing-in of the nut 36, the diameter of the lining material 2 is enlarged and the lining material 2 is held among the seal rings 34, 35 and the inside of the support ring 37.</p> |
