<p>PURPOSE: To make the appearance before deployment favorable by obtaining a deployment opening by the operation of an energy member such as a fuse along an opening pattern arranged inside an interior trim panel, in a device storing an air bag in the interior trim panel of a front passenger seat side. CONSTITUTION: The air bag device stored in the instrument panel 14 of a front passenger seat side of an automobile is provided with a canister 32 including a folded air bag and gas operation and ignition device. The deployment opening of the rear part of this canister 32 is closed by doors 24, 26 with two hinges pushingly opened at the expansion time of the air bag. The instrument panel 14 is composed of an outside decoration skin 44 for covering a foaming core 46 and a soft rear member 48 and the center part of the fuse members 38, 38 with U-letter shape pattern gathered to H-letter shape pattern is stored in the groove 42 formed to the part facing to the canister 32 of the rear member 48 and the destruction of the instrument panel 14 is facilitated by this operation.</p> |
