PURPOSE:To enable a user to select a picture where his intended part is focused from plural pictures by successively photographing objects from the closest object to the most distant object in plural range finding areas while shifting the focus. CONSTITUTION:Distance information to objects in plural range finding areas set in a photographic screen is detected by a detecting means 1, and information indicating the longest distance and information indicating the shortest distance are extracted from detected distance information of plural range finding areas. Based on information indicating intermediate distances of one or more positions newly determined by these two information, the focus of an objective lens 100 is shifted to photograph objects from the closest object to the most distant object by a photographing control means 3. Thus, the picture including his intended object is properly taken through this object is not in the range finding area. |
