PURPOSE:To obtain the title light-weight helmet body excellent in impact resistance and suitable for sport and construction and public engineering works, etc., by using a non-woven mat bundled and integrated with a resin and having a specific weight and density as part of a reinforcing fiber material. CONSTITUTION:A non-woven mat having 50-500g/m<2> weight and 0.015-0.08g/cm<2> density is produced from bundled yarn obtained by bundling and integrating an organic synthetic fiber (e.g. polyvinyl alcohol based resin) having >=1 denier fineness and >=100g/denier modules with a resin (e.g. polyvinyl acetate based resin) and having <=2000 total denier. The non-woven mat is superposed in single layer or plural layers and the superposed mat is used as part of the reinforcing fiber material and the thermosetting resin is impregnated into the reinforcing material and molded and cured to provide the aimed helmet hat body. |
