The device is composed of a DC/AC converter (9) of appropriate power, provided with control means, which feeds a thin-film resistor (12) inserted during lamination between two layers of the glass of the windshield (A). Due to the considerable power used, the controls adopted have the function of preventing damage to the electric system of the vehicle and to the windshield itself.
